Few warm words from up North.

Sir,
Thank you very
much for your note of last Friday. The floor is now ready and WARM at the
flick of the switch.
Clearly, as a
businessman, you go the extra distance for your customers. It is not
surprising that you are a distributor for Elektra which has an outstanding
product and as well, that you would do very well in
business.
I thought I would
let you know that we did receive a call on Friday 2 weeks ago from FedEx and as
they promised, on following Monday of last week, we received a call from
the Montreal offices of FedEx offering to clear the
merchandise through Canada Customs, at a very modest brokerage cost ($7.49
CDN).
Also for your
information, though perhaps you are already familiar, the Canadian government,
through Canadian Customs collects the 7% Goods and Service Tax (the "GST" as we
know it) and the Ontario Provincial Sales Tax (8%). There would also have
been a 6.5% duty except that under NAFTA, a residential purchaser is apparently
exempt from this.
Once again, thank
you very much for your help throughout. You can be assured that as my DIY
projects continue, I will be thinking of your products first. In fact, we
have some friends who have just purchased a house with a significantly sloping
driveway (interlocking bricks) and I read with interest and will share with them
the pamphlet that you included with the shipment on exterior heating
cables.
I am very
satisfied, very impressed with your service.
Sincerely
Yvon Madiot
