Toyota Motors of Japan says it will invest about $260 million to
upgrade its transmission plant in Walbrzych, Poland.
In a statement, Toyota said it expects to double the number
of transmissions built at the plant by April, to more than a half-million. The
company said the plant upgrades will add about 700 jobs, bringing to about 1,000
the total number of jobs at the plant.
